Our most recent commercial lifestyle photoshoot was for the hotel Voco Orchard Singapore, a newly opened concept in the heart of the city.

Capturing images that show the heart and experience of a lifestyle establishment such as Voco Orchard is not a simple matter of snapping a few shots to upload onto the company website.

Here is a video showcasing what the team at Coco Creative Studio does to create impactful images for the establishment’s audience.

People Behind a Commercial Lifestyle Hotel Photoshoot

Within this full-day shoot, we did a total of 12 setups to showcase different aspects of the hotel. These range from dining experiences, to room interiors and fun poolside shots.

In a commercial lifestyle photoshoot such as this one, we often engage the services of others outside of our agency. Aside from our ten member crew involved in the process of setting up the shots and capturing the photos, we also helped our client source for external services.

We assisted with casting the talents that appear in the images, and hiring make-up artists and stylists to dress and style them.

In this shoot, we recruited stylist Gabby Gabbana, make-up artist June Goh, our three talents plus one lovely family, as well as the employees and management of Voco Orchard Singapore to help bring everything together.

Equipment Behind the Photoshoot

With any of our shoots, our clients can request help in sourcing for prop or set designers to create the ideal backdrop for their pictures.

However, as this shoot was an in-location one focused on showing off the environment and ambiance of the hotel, no additional props or set design were required.

We used a medium format camera in this shoot; we usually like to use these cameras for our commercial advertisement shoots, because they have the highest resolution in the market and great image quality.

The camera used here is the Fujifilm GFX 100S, alongside the Peak Design tripod, and the Peak Design Slide camera strap.
