To announce the arrival of the new electric G-Class in Singapore, Mercedes-Benz wanted to make a strong impression. On the occasion of a three-day auto show, the brand turned to COCO Creative Studio to produce an innovative FOOH (Fake Out Of Home) video, designed to showcase both the power of the vehicle and its cutting-edge technology.

An ambitious brief, executed internationally

From the very beginning, Mercedes’ expectations were clear: highlight two key features of the new G-Class:
  • Its ability to handle rough and uneven terrain (damaged roads, steep surfaces)
  • Its ability to rotate on itself, allowing it to escape from tight or complex situations
And all of that… with a 100% electric vehicle.
To meet these goals, we proposed several creative video concepts, each anchored in iconic Singapore locations. The client ultimately selected a bold idea to be executed in front of the famous Orchard Road Mall — one of the city’s busiest and most recognizable avenues.

Filming in Singapore, Post-Production in France

Once the concept was approved, the live-action footage was shot in Singapore, near the shopping mall, using a camera angle carefully defined during location scouting.
At the same time, our 3D team had already started modeling the G-Class to meet the client’s tight deadlines.

The post-production stages — including tracking, animation, integration, color grading, and final rendering, were handled by the COCO team based in France. Each phase was validated step by step with the client, ensuring both precision and flexibility throughout the process.

A Technical and Strategic FOOH Project

This project was a true technical and organizational challenge for our studio. Working simultaneously across two continents allowed us to optimize efficiency and deliver a high-quality FOOH video in record time, without compromising on execution.

Within just a few weeks, the video garnered over 15,000 views on Mercedes-Benz Singapore’s Instagram account, a strong result for a local FOOH campaign, designed above all to surprise audiences on social media and drive traffic to the event.

Why This Project Stood Out to Us

At COCO Creative Studio, we’ve produced several FOOH videos, but this one remains our most ambitious to date:
  • cross-timezone collaboration (Singapore / Paris),
  • extremely tight deadlines,
  • high expectations for 3D rendering and realism,
  • continuous validation with a structured and demanding client.
